You Can Heal Your Life – Louise Hay
This was the first book I read that changed my life.
This was the book that made me stop and think about the language I used, about the box that I felt I was in and how to come out of it and realise that actually I was in control of everything; I had the power and I just needed to use it.
I picked it up in a charity shop on a whim because I liked the cover and it was published the year I was born. I will never get over this book and recommend you read it too.
Mindset – Carol Dweck
This book gave me so many lightbulb moments it was quite frightening. I knew exactly what my problem had been all along: I was in a complete fixed mindset. Something I hadn’t even heard of before.
After reading it, I started being a lot more open and willing, less embarrassed and well it really bloody helped. This was another charity shop whim buy! I made some great choices.
Make Money Online – Lisa Johnson
This book is so easy to read that I finished it within a day. And it gave me so many tips I needed to know to base the foundations of my business on. Things that I had been missing for so long because I thought I had to work 8 hours days to make any money.
I actually heard about Lisa, again on a whim, one of the ladies that I was working alongside told me her course was being promoted for free – so I joined the course and then it ended up me loving it and reading her book too!
You Are Awesome – Matthew Syed
This book is actually aimed at teens. So if you have a teen, make sure to get them this. It’s simple which I love but has got some really good stuff in. As a person who hates anything complex, it confuses me to death, I actually really enjoy reading teen books like Harry Potter for example. So this was a massive hit with me. It really gives you inspiration no-matter how old you are.
The Ultimate Introduction to NLP: How to fulfil a successful life – Richard Bandler
NLP stands for Neuro-linguistic programming and it is a way of using language to change someone’s thoughts and actions into a more positive shift to help achieve desired outcomes and get them what they want. It is a great start when you want to change your language to be more positive.
You are a badass at making money – Jen Sincero
Again, one of the first books I read when I joined a book club with a mentor that I love. This was my first broach on money mindset and actually saying I want to make money without feeling like a cockend.
True Spirit – Jessica Watson
The book and the film (it is on Netflix) is just unbearably motivational. It’s absolutely mortifying as a parent because you can feel exactly how her parents would’ve felt but hats fucking off. She is an absolute inspiration. It just shows nomatter what age you are, if you’re that committed and determined then you can do it. And I don’t care what you say.
The Secret and The Magic
I read these a while ago, but I was not in the right frame of mind to understand the law of attraction properly. I just I just need to think positively all of the time and good things will come to me, right? Wrong. These books can only ever be read when you actively want to shift and you can see the changed version of you in your mind. Because otherwise you’ll probably think that it is a load of garbage (I did). You need to step out of your ‘blame mindset’ before you read. Maybe start off with Louise Hay and Carol Dweck first. But they are awesome all the same.
The Magic is much more interactive and will help you to pave the way and gain more understanding.
